The Value of Internet Marketing for your Music!

Are you living in 2007 and do not have a computer? Better yet, are you an Artist or an Independent Entertainment Company and you do not have a computer and/or access to a computer? How about this one, you have a computer but you do not know how to use it or do not know how to use it very well! What's up?

Well, this is what's up! There is not a company/organization that does not use computers as an integral part of there day-to-day operations. In short, you have to have a computer and then you must be computer literate.
Internet Marketing is a vital part of your Marketing Plan because the internet allows you to reach a larger audience in an amazingly short amount of time. When our U.S. Gov't gave access of the internet to the public, they allowed us to communicate and connect with people around the world faster than ever before seen. Who would believe the effect the internet would have on the Business World!

There are a lot of creative ways to use the Internet to market an Artist, Product, Album, Single, Services, and/or Company. Popular uses of the internet include but are not limited to: Email Broadcasts, Emailing DJ's MP3's, Websites, Blogs, MySpace, FaceBook, etc.

With the right skill level, work effort, networking, and overall Blessings, great things can happen by way of your Internet Marketing! You can & will generate Sales and Awareness!

Creating your Marketing Plan - 3rd & Final Step

You are now ready to literally put your plan on paper (typed-up), the actual specifics of how you are going to Market/Promote your Product and/or Service!

This is where a true decision has to be made about your knowledge/experience, skills, time, and flat-out effort. You have to look in the mirror and ask yourself do I actually know what to do or do I need some professional assistance? The answer to that question will move you forward accordingly.

Either way, you start with Week 1 or your first Initiative and start listing the things you are actually going to do. That could be contacting Internet Radio Stations, Mailing out promo copies, beginning street team work, etc. Every Week should have a new agenda and you should include the follow-up process with the work being done and the contacts being made because every business is basically based on relationships. Developing relationships starts with contacting a person or an organization frequently enough to allow yourself to be recognized and then doing the job well and delivering quality products and services.

So if you decide to write your Marketing Plan yourself or hire a professional, execution of the plan is the key! Once your plan is written, your in-house team and/or your outside-hired team will need to be on-point to execute the plan!

Creating your Marketing Plan - 2nd Step

Creating your Marketing Plan - 2nd Step

Once you have identified who you are and what you are, plus started to establish the "Fact" of who you are and what you are, the next step is to start getting specific.

You have started to tune into your target market and you are ready to set the amount of time that you are going to execute your Marketing Plan. Is it going to be an Eight (8) - Week, Sixteen (16) - Week, or a Twelve (12) - Month Plan? You determine and set the length of time. The length of your plan will be determined by your available time, man-power, and of course your budget. These three (3) things are very important to the set-up and execution of your Marketing Plan.

After you decide on the length of time, man-power and budget that you are willing-and-able to commit to marketing your product or service, it will be time to start writing down specifically what you will do each week of the Marketing Plan. The things you write down will be the Promotions work you will actually be doing.
